Ektalure is my confrontative self-portrait project photographed in black and white.
Images of the male body are shown as a symbol of strength and masculine power.
I try to play with those concepts by using daily objects like paper, firewood, a sledgehammer, tires, balloons or paint, so that my nudity is merged with everyday things or professions: mine workers, sailors... whatever inspires me.
On some pictures, this typical masculine role is cast into a more feminine context and scenery, confronting the androgynous, almost feminine side of my male body.
This is my message; this is what I like to play with.
